I think I managed to get things right. I added -DEXPORT_SYMTAB to the default flags and added: CFLAGS_EXTRA += $(shell if [ -f $(KERNEL_HEADERS)/linux/modversions.h ]; \ then echo -include \ $(KERNEL_HEADERS)/linux/modversions.h; fi)
