From the CPU identification given later, it is said to be a 486 DX4/120 - 120 MHz core on a 40 MHz FSB, 3x clock multiplier.
Simon: Have you tried the 8139too driver with this series?? I can't remember much detail about it off-hand, but it could be worth a try?
