Hi all!
I am using SuSE 6.3 distribution on our production environment. We are using the 2.2.13 kernel patched by SuSE.
I get more or less regurarly this message in /var/log/messages:
Jul 31 11:56:14 mail kernel: cdrom: open failed. Jul 31 11:56:14 mail kernel: VFS: Disk change detected on device ide0(3,0)
The system has a ATAPI-CDROM drive connected on /dev/hda.
It seems to me, that any process(es) tries to access the cdrom-device even there is no cdrom in the device.
The ide-cable is also connected very well.
Is that a bug in the IDE-driver? Must I update the kernel?
