I think I have my brightness turned down pretty far. My screen looks totally black to me, but with your's and one other person's post, I'm sure it is just really dark.
As I said, 'reset' is enough for me to return to normal brightness.

I did a follow up post to myself. I removed the 3DFX DRM driver and it didn't fix the problem.

I'm running a Voodoo 3 2000 AGP card, but I have a BX chipset.
