    It works for me. modutils 2.3.9, gcc 2.7.2.3, kernel 2.3.49 SMP,
    binutils 2.9.1. One unresolved symbol (bdget in block/rd.o) but
    modules.dep is built correctly and there are no problems loading any
    modules.
