I can give it a try. I don't have any current 2.3.x kernels handy,
but I'll fetch one. The 2.2.5-15 and others are on live servers.
Keep in mind, also, that this only seems to happen if the virtual
interfaces are on DIFFERENT subnets. If they're on the same subnet,
they stay alive.
