FYI: I got now a crash with such patch applyed. Precisely the below BUG triggered (in smp.c smp_invalidate_interrupt):
if (!test_bit(cpu, &flush_cpumask)) BUG(); ^^^
I'm not sure right now if that's a bug in the diff or not...
