do you mean the linux/drivers/net/ppp_generic.c here?
I will implement these two proposals, update the cosa.c to the softnet,
and then I can look to this.

Its purely bandwidth. If it was 40 instances of Miguel reading web pages
flat out over 100baseT you would definitely be right. But its not... (Alan)
