[2.] Full description of the problem/report:
While running mke2fs on a SCSI software RAID-5 array, the message "kernel bug at buffer.c:765!" was printed, along with an oops (below). The system doesn't hang, but the mke2fs process is unkillable. The problem has occurred every time I've tried using mke2fs on the RAID device.
