Why, specifically, no NFSv3? Do you have a reason or just paranoia? :)
I've tested 2.2.18pre15 (w/out 'aa1') against FreeBSD, Solaris, and other Linux clients, and I'm very happy with the improvement over older Linux NFS. All of my testing and real-life usage was done w/ NFSv3 enabled.
