Ah yes, it all comes back to me now :) Also explains why my printk's weren't working during tests.
I'm amazed it took this long for someone to notice. :) I'll have to start running devel kernels on all the funky hardware like Winchip. Mine has been running 2.2 (where this isn't an issue) for a long time.
