Ookay, hopefully I've got the right place. I've seen everyone post bttv problems to lkml, so here it goes ;)
I am currently running with 2.2.17 I modprobe the bttv drivers (output):
Linux video capture interface: v1.00 i2c: initialized bttv0: Brooktree Bt848 (rev 17) bus: 0, devfn: 80, irq: 12, memory: 0xea001000. bttv: 1 Bt8xx card(s) found. bttv0: Hauppauge eeprom: tuner= (4) bttv0: audio chip: TDA9840 bttv0: audio chip: TDA9850 bttv0: audio chip: TDA8425 bttv0: fader chip: TEA6300 bttv0: model: BT848(Hauppauge old)
So I start an app like xawtv:
This is xawtv-3.21, running on Linux/i586 (2.2.17) visual: id=0x22 class=4 (TrueColor), depth=16 visual: id=0x23 class=5 (DirectColor), depth=16 x11: 1280x1024, 16 bit/pixel, 2560 byte/scanline, DGA waitpid: No child processes waitpid: No child processes v4l: 1280x1024, 16 bit/pixel, 2560 byte/scanline WARNING: v4l and dga disagree about the framebuffer base WARNING: Is v4l-conf installed correctly? ov_fbuf.base=(nil), base=0xe8000000 WARNING: overlay mode disabled wmhooks: gnome ioctl VIDIOCMCAPTURE(0,-,0x0): Invalid argument ioctl VIDIOCMCAPTURE(1,-,0x0): Invalid argument ioctl VIDIOCSYNC: Invalid argument ioctl VIDIOCSYNC: Invalid argument ioctl VIDIOCMCAPTURE(0,-,0x0): Invalid argument ioctl VIDIOCMCAPTURE(1,-,0x0): Invalid argument ioctl VIDIOCSYNC: Invalid argument ioctl VIDIOCSYNC: Invalid argument v4l: oops: got sigalarm ioctl VIDIOCSYNC: Interrupted system call
And dmesg outputs:
bttv: PCI display adapter: <3>bttv: Unknown video memory base address.
does that 4 times. I've recompiled the kernel, xawtv, everything I can think of. I can't seem to figure out how to fix this :/
Ideas? Suggestions? Any help would be great.
