BTW, assuming TCP does its locking right (either doing lock_sock or running in atomic bh context) SMP/UP shouldn't matter. And if TCP is missing a lock_sock a race can trigger also in UP. So hopefully if we get it fixed on UP we should be fine on SMP too later.
