Subjectlinux 2.3.18ac8 Toshiba ToPIC95-B detection problems
I tried posting this yesterday already and earlier today ... but as it
seems my mailserver is broken so I am trying it using a different one.
Please don't be upset if the message shows up multiple times.


Linux 2.3.18 does not detect the ToPIC95-B of my Toshiba Satellite
4000CDS. According to the output of David Hinds' PCMCIA package it is
located at 0x68000000.


I modified the detection routine with the attached patch and included
the output of dmesg (with pcmcia support compieled as modules as well as
into the kernel) in this mail.
I hope the information is useful.

If I can give any further assitance please let me know.

btw.: the machine hangs during bootup after the output of "Freeing
unused kernel memory .... " if I include ACPI support (The ACPI chip is
detected.)

ps: I had exactly the same problem eith earlier kernels and older gcc
compilers.
