SubjectRe: Disk Corruption with ide hpt-366 controller & software raid5

Are you sure?

I know that there is a SMP issue with RAID 5 and 20 disks regardless of
the IDE host adapter cluster. This list includes all of the best cards.
HighPoint HPT366 and both of Promise's PDC20246 and PDC20262.
Under heavy load tests at CERN all three models fail under SMP with
sequential access; however are clean with UP.

Fabien, can you authenticate this?

Mingo, Alan, and Andrea

I am down to designing an extention to the request queing, please stop me.
There has to be a better answer than doubling up code. Thoughts?
