Hello Gurus, I am stuck with the following problem and am hoping someone can give me a pointer as to what may be going on here. I have a driver that talks to ISA registers in the 0xCA2 - 0x0CAB range. Right now I have the driver do nothing expect register as a char dev and probe the registers and then do nothing (to reduce the problem spot). Even after I rmmod the driver I see these Oops messages (for anything as simple as ls or cat etc - anything accessing the file system). Initially I though it was because I was leaving the /dev entry even after I rmmod'ed the driver, but I have seen it even after removing the node. Is this a known issue that was fixed in a subsequent patch? Does leaving the /dev/ node entry after removing a driver leave a dangling reference of some sort? Thanks for your help.
