I haven't been able to find anything in the > archives. I'll be happy to provide as much detail as I can. Yes this is a known problem.. Quota in 2.0 kernels is broken. After applying my fixes at ftp://atrey.karlin.mff.cuni.cz/pub/local/jack/quota-fix-2.0.35-2.diff.gz this problem should disappear (the patch should apply cleanly against 2.0.37 too).
