Can not do UDMA transfers with this host-adapter.
You have to back-speed the xfer rate to DMA mode 2 or get an offboard
host-adapter.

Check your SMART status, it may be failing.

You need kerenl 2.2.10 to apply the patches found in linux.kernel.org
under the people directory.
