For what its worth, I've seen the same problem with an AMD K6-2 400 on a
Tyan 1590S motherboard. I don't have the oops trace anymore, though. The
problem went away after I changed the kernel to 2.2.10-ac<something> (can't
remember now, and the machine isn't here any more).
