SubjectProcessor Affinity in 2.2.x smp kernels?
Hello all,

I have noted by observing the cpu utilization on xosview (an admittedly
unscientific method) that when running a single threaded compute bound
task on a 2-way smp machine that the task seems to migrate from cpu to
cpu, oscillating back and forth.

This leads me to wonder if:

1. What I am seeing is actually happening. Does anyone have any insight
into this?

2. Assuming that it is happening, is there an effort underway to address
this? And if so, who are these people that I might offer some help.

Thanks,

John DeVale
