I did not run 2.3.3 enough to have an opinion. I can try if you want though when I'm back home (in about 18h)

I compiled with -fno-strict-aliasing (sorry should have mentioned that). I can try with 2.7.2 later, but I would prefer not too many experiments because I fear of my data @)
