The last time I saw that message, my system had shifted from summer to winter time in mid compile. I reported it at the time (September 1998), and was told that's a known problem with make as it apparently uses local time when checking.
Can anybody else confirm whether such is in fact the case, as I have to say that I find that explanation wierd...
