SubjectRe: Mysterious lockups in 2.2.9.
Hello.
I've had cases of silent lockups with 2.2.0-2.2.6. The linux machine that
experienced lockups was connected via ethernet to a Windows NT. The
windows NT had an unknown ancient 10 Mbit card (maybe some SMC card). The
linux machine locked regularly when the WinNT was working (mainly upon
WinNT startup and shutdown). The ethernet card on the linux was 10 Mbit
NE2000 clone (winbond) - if I remember correctly. Replacing the ethernet
card on the NT solved the problem. I've not checked if this problem still
exists with 2.2.7+.
