Subjectproblems compiling w/cd-changer patch (2.2.8)
I'm having problems applying the cd-changer patch to kernel 2.2.8

The patch-routine works ok, but the problems comes when I try to compile a
kernel with support for the cd-changer (http://unfix.org/projects/changer/).

If I try to compile it in the kernel, I get this error:

ld -m elf_i386 -T /usr/src/linux-2.2.8/arch/i386/vmlinux.lds -e stext

This is what happens when I try to compile the changer.c-code

make[3]: Entering directory /usr/src/linux-2.2.8/drivers/block'

If I try to compile as a module, everything seems to work ok, but when I try
to modprobe changer.o I get this error:

/lib/modules/2.2.8-changer/block/changer.o: unresolved symbol memset

Any tips would be appreciated.
