I'm at a loss as to what this is being caused by - I don't even use rpc or anything like that. I need to solve this asap because if I start up my udplogd (part of snplog-0.1.tar.gz) daemon it rapidly fills up my logs with lots and lots of the same crap like the following
--cut-- Apr 24 13:03:33 tahallah icmplogd[2275]: icmp_dest_unreach (code icmp_port_unreach), from localhost Apr 24 13:03:33 tahallah last message repeated 9 times Apr 24 13:03:34 tahallah udplogd[2283]: sunrpc connection from localhost:988 Apr 24 13:03:34 tahallah udplogd[2283]: sunrpc connection from localhost:989 Apr 24 13:03:34 tahallah udplogd[2283]: sunrpc connection from localhost:990 Apr 24 13:03:34 tahallah udplogd[2283]: sunrpc connection from localhost:991 Apr 24 13:03:34 tahallah udplogd[2283]: sunrpc connection from localhost:992 Apr 24 13:03:34 tahallah udplogd[2283]: sunrpc connection from localhost:993 Apr 24 13:03:34 tahallah udplogd[2283]: sunrpc connection from localhost:994 Apr 24 13:03:34 tahallah udplogd[2283]: sunrpc connection from localhost:995 Apr 24 13:03:34 tahallah udplogd[2283]: sunrpc connection from localhost:996 Apr 24 13:03:34 tahallah udplogd[2283]: sunrpc connection from localhost:997 Apr 24 13:03:34 tahallah udplogd[2283]: sunrpc connection from localhost:998 Apr 24 13:03:34 tahallah udplogd[2283]: sunrpc connection from localhost:999 Apr 24 13:03:34 tahallah udplogd[2283]: sunrpc connection from localhost:1000 Apr 24 13:03:34 tahallah udplogd[2283]: sunrpc connection from localhost:1001 Apr 24 13:03:33 tahallah icmplogd[2275]: icmp_dest_unreach (code icmp_port_unreach), from localhost --cut--
I do need to track down the cause because I don't like not running my logging daemons. Thanks for any clues.
