Re the bonnie figures you posted to LKML

I got the following, which seem ok for a 10MB/s lan.

Kernel 2.2.6, samba samba-2.0.2, to a W95 server with

smbmount \\\\gillian.leinster\\gille XXXX -c "mount /GILLE -f 3666"
