SubjectSoundproblem with Linux-2.2.1 and Original SB16 (not PnP)
1. Sound works with:
cat foo.wav > /dev/dsp
cat foo.au > /dev/audio

2. but the game rocksndiamonds-1.2.0 plays noisy (sounds like playing a
wav file to /dev/audio) and slow (wrong sample-rate?) wav.files now

3. with linux-2.0.36 it works.

my sndstat for 2.0.36 compiled in Kernel:

Sound Driver:3.5.4-960630 (Thu Dec 31 04:22:51 MET 1998 root,
