Solaris doesn't, but many filesystems do (I'm on Solaris box right now, % od -c . 0000000 % cat . cat: input error on.: Is a directory ) Besides, since we are looking for a stuff done both by 98 and by NT it's going to be a diskette anyway. dd is your friend...
