ide-mod is the correct module. The full syntax is
insmod ide-mod options=\"hda=17662,16,63\"
or
insmod ide-mod 'options="hda=17662,16,63"'
Without the back slash or single quotes, the shell strips out the string quotes. When the string quotes are stripped out, insmod treats the embedded commas as multiple parameters instead of a single string.
