My gigabyte SMP mainboard has the same problem since somewhere in the middle
of 2.3. It gets a fault when it tries to jump to the call gate to the APM
segment. I haven't investigated further yet, but I believe it is because
some APM LDT entries are incorrectly set up.

With 2.2 it works fine.
