NWFS uses the Netware mirroring model which is different in semantic. NWFS expects the cache to conrol mirroring and not a "spoofing driver". THe file system knows mirroring is there are does some fancy reovery because of this. NWFS mirroring is also able to run distributed, unlike RAID in linux.....
