SubjectRe: 2.2.x: "hda: no DRQ after issuing WRITE", but not on 2.0.x kernels

Yes it has a lot to do with runing an ATA-66 device on an ATA-33
controller. If the bios can not get it correct, because it is "miniport"
handi-capped..............you basically nuke the BIOS values/settings and
start from scratch.........

For the love of PnP BIOS code.................gad......
