I was using 2.2.0p1 without the ac patches, oddly enough.. So I guess the answer to your question would be that, yes, in fact, with 2.2.0p1 when you use ipmasqadm, it breaks. :) And there was only one computer on the masq network connecting to battle.net (in fact, as far as I know, only one machine connected to the internet at all). I have pre4 on my machine, but I was reluctant to use it when I noticed the new IDE v1.08 driver changed the geometries on all my drives...
