SubjectRe: 2.2.0 proc stuck in D state followup
Date
I succesfully compiled linux-2.2.0 on an AlphaStation 500/266 (Alcor), using
the Generic machine option, egcs-1.1.1, ...

This time I get a complete boot, I can log in and seem be able to work with it.
But I get the following messages on boot (~8 times ):
EXT-fs warning (device 08:02):ext2_bmap: block < 0
( or on another boot: block > big )
This looks like sda2, my root partition - this is on a 4GB UW drive, using the
QLogic ISP controller/driver.

It works with linux-2.2.0pre7-ac4 :-)

Greetings,
Jochen
