Beginning with the pre-8 in testing/ and continuing with the real pre8, my ATAPI ZIP drive is detected as a cdrom. As such, it is unusable and pitches constant errors (if you need them, I'll send them, but the gist of things is that the ZIP doesn't like commands intended for a cdrom - no surprise). The drive works perfectly in pre7 and /proc/ide/hdc/model shows correctly "IOMEGA ZIP 100 ATAPI" under pre7 and pre8, but reading the pre8 patch was unenlightening...guess I'm missing something here. Any thoughts?
