SubjectRe: ASUS P5A Super 7 Motherboard IDE not recognised
The ASUS P5A uses the Alladin V chipset.
This chipset is _not_ supported by linux ver. 2.2.0

There is a patch for this chipset (and alot others) to be found at
http://www.dyer.vanderbilt.edu/server/udma/
