Citing difficulties with the Freedows project leader, most (all?) of the
Freedows development team has left the Freedows project to begin work on a
project called AllOS. AllOS is identical to Freedows except the code will
be GPLed, and the management structure has been slightly reworked. Read
about the split at http://www.slashdot.org/features/980831/2231220.shtml.

On a side note, an online forum was held on Slashdot by one of the
Freedows developers. The original post, along with the comments, is
available at http://www.slashdot.org/features/980827/1113230.shtml.
