There is actually a save_flags();cli(); {} restore_flags() pair in
start_xmit() in the current 1.03 driver found at Donald's ftp
server. Personally I would of course prefer to see it use a
spin_lock_irqsave() but thats a different story ;-)

Jes, pay attention, version 0.99f was the 3c59x driver not the Tulip
one :-)
