DOH! Two bad tapes and my own stupidity.

It seems you can not seek on a blank tape. I guess the 'blocks' aren't present
until written. : P

As for my two bad tapes they SOMEHOW got that way from me trying to get the seek
to work. I even tried bulk erasing the things and I still can not put any data
to them.
