The answer seems to be that knfs will not let you mount /usr/src if you have exported /usr. Even if they are on the same partition.
It is quite clear that you can't have more than one export per partition, so if you export /usr/src then you can not export -- say /usr/lib.
I am starting to work on this. Has anyone done any work on this already?
