I have what *may* be similar. Using the FB, I *must* enter a hi-res mode or my keyboard dies at the point where the ps/2 mouse (glidepoint) is initialised. All of the modes that are 'detected' along with the 'default timeout' mode will lock the keyb. I can only get it to work if I use a mode not on the list such as 0307.
The rest of the machine is fine, just no keyboard or mouse. I have another exact same keyboard, if I plug it in, it *always* dies at the ps/2 init.
If I don't compile with FB, they appear to work fine.
go figure...?
