I've got two drives that refuse to mount under LINUX SLAKWARE, kernel version 2.0.34. The first drive /dev/hda (or C) is a FAT16 file system. During the installation of slakware it didn't detect it as a mountable drive and never asked if I'd like to set it up. Consequently, it detected /dev/hdb, which is also FAT16, and mounted that as /dosd. /dev/hdc1 is the first partition on logical drive 3, and is formatted FAT32. /dev/hdc2 is where linux resides. When attempting to mount either as 'vfat' or 'msdos' it failed spilling messages of 'FAT bread failed' across the screen (I can get exact messages if they would help any more). Do you have any idea what's happening or how to fix the problems?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
