Compiling kernel on RH 5.0, I did : rpm -ihv /RedHat/RPMS/kernel*.i386.rpm and rpm -ihv /RedHat/RPMS/glibc*.i386.rpm make mrproper make config, dep, clean make zImage
Errors are: objdump -k -q -0x1000 compresed/vmlinux > compressed/vmlinux.out; else \ objcopy -O binary -R .note -R .stab -R stabstr compressed/vmlinux compressed/vmlinux.out; fi make[1]: leaving directory '/usr/src/linux-2.0.32/arch/i386/boot'
objdump: illegal option --k objdump: supported targets: elf32-i386 a.out-i386 srec symbolsrec tekhex binary ihex trad-core.
Any ideas as to what is the cause, and possible solution would be appreciated.
Thanks, Michael
