Agreed.

Martin, I think it was you who asked a question about VGA_CAN_DO_64K (or
similar). In answer to your question I have never manually tweaked this
value myself. I doubt RedHat did either in my (rarely boot but full of
scrollback) 2.0.x kernels.

Out of interest, has anyone benched 2.1.11x vgacon against 2.0.35 console?
