http://www.westerndigital.com/support/ftp/drives.html look for the overlay.exe files and read the descripttions.
I don't know if it was dma related or not, the site has changed since I have been there last (over a year ago, ack 2 years now that I think of it) All I remember is downloading 2 or 3 overlay programs from there and then having to RMA the drive anyways. (They didn't even ask twice just told me to send it over) Bad batch mabe ?
