Subject[URGENT] 2.1.109ac2 still using aic7xxx-5.0.18
Date
Hello, Linus,
hello, Adam,

Doug is spending a lot of time on bugfixing negotiaion issues and his
efforts are not taken into regard. There has been a working 5.0.19 ever
since 2.1.105, but yet, 2.1.109 and 2.1.109ac2 are still using 5.0.18, thus,
2.1.109 is still unable to negotiate any transfer with wide devices on a
narrow bus.

I know that aic7xxx 5.1.0 is in pre-release state, but still, 5.1.0pre4
panicks for me on both 2.0.35 as well as 2.1.109 with BRKADRINT error 0x1:
illegal host access. (Doug is aware of this).

Please, if 5.1.0 is not in release state until 2.1.110, include at least a
patch to upgrade aic7xxx to level 5.0.19 to fix this severe negotiation
failure.

Thanks
Matthias
