Hi Richard,
I gave it a try and got mixed results. A complete compile (big step #1), but the resultant kernel image is not bootable. FWIW, I have never been able to boot a 2.1 kernel. aboot-0.5 reports (to the effect) "blocksize smaller than anticipated!" then aborts. sigh..
Here is my system info:
Alphastation 200 4/233 Avanti Mustang SRM console v6.8 RedHat-5.1 clean 2.1.109 kernel w/your patch compiled by egcs-2.91.50**
**2.1 kernels compiled from egcs-1.0 had same boot failures from aboot.
Anyone have a recipe for success with RedHat-5.1, 2.1.10late and SRM?
