SubjectKernel Mailing List
Date
From
Hi all,

I would like to remind all those using this mailing list that it was designed
for discussion of Linux kernel development. Recently, some of you seem to
think that it is quite Al-right to startup any o'l discussion you deem
'relevant' and keep using the Linux kernel development list for you personal
discussions.

Remember that however 'relevant' it may seem, it doesn't belong on this list
unless you are discussing development in regard to the Linux kernel. Alan Cox
has already shown his disapproval in the use of the list for NON-topic
discussions and I am now showing mine.

This list already has quite a few messages everyday and all your extra off
topic discussion adds to the numbers. As another note, some of the people on
this list *PAY* for every e-mail that they get. If you send something that
they have no use for, they get charged for it anyway.

Moral of this story, move the off topic discussion to private e-mail or to a
newsgroup of your choosing.

Thanks,
Troy
