Hi,
Sorry to burst in on your thread ;o)
>> > No logfile-entry, no "oops" on the console, just dead!
I experience these kinds of lockups on a 2.0.33 machine - usually a week between the lockups. No logfile-entry, no oops, no nothing - even the display "dies". I have turned off the screenblanking to see if there is written anything to the console - no luck (yet!) Therefore I wonder ... >> >> Do you have swap > memory size ? >> ... why this should be a problem. I have a swap-partition of 64Mb on a 32Mb machine. Is this a problem? If so, how/why?
Thank you for any replies.
Regards,
Brian
