Sorry for dissapointing you, but we do use gated for a long time...
Furthermore, it does work with the 0.38/0.99 eepro100 drivers in 2.0.33/34.

GateD is braindead. But it's not it's fault when the ethernet complains
about TX timeouts and quits... It's the ethernet driver's bug.
